Angular velocity roll sensor

Angular velocity roll sensor is a part of autopilot AP-34B and designed to measure angular velocity of the helicopter roll. The sensitive element in the device is a metal girder, suspended by means of elastic membranes in the unit. Excitation of oscillations of the beam and the readout of information of its motion is done by the means of the piezoelectric elements. The output of the device is a DC voltage proportional to the measured velocity. 

Conformance Standards: Angular velocity roll sensor 1209G conforms to the MIL8565J standards
Application for helicopters: MI-17, MI-8, MI-171, MI-172
